2 in stock (can be backordered)

This medium sized bronze disc brooch is produced after Danish archaeological finds from the Viking age, around the 10th century CE. The brooch has characteristics of the so-called Borre-style.

These disc brooches, or fibulas, have a needle on the backside to attach the brooch to a garment and were traditionally used to close the necklines of clothing or fasten cloaks, but also for decoration, mostly by women.

The Viking disc brooch – Denmark style has a diameter of 3.4 cm. It is available in bronze, as well as a silver-plated version.
