This serpent-shaped chain divider is based on historical examples from grave finds in Sweden, Gotland, and the Baltic area.
Chain dividers were an important piece of female garments in Viking society. The dividers were worn in pairs on the dress, with one or more chains between them. These chains were decorated with all sorts of trinkets, jewelry, and even small household items. One could also wear a turtle brooch above the chain divider.
The Viking chain divider – Serpent measures 2.5 x 2.6 cm and is available in bronze, as well as a silver-plated variant.
The listing on this page is the price for one chain divider. If you want a pair, please order two pieces.
