This large bronze trefoil brooch is a reproduction of a 10th century CE archaeological find from Stora Ryk, Sweden. This brooch is very large and beautifully decorated. Trefoil brooches were traditionally worn in the middle of women’s dresses, often in combination with two oval tortoise brooches, but they were also used to close cloaks.
The Trefoil brooch from Stora Ryk has a diameter of 7 cm. It is available in bronze, as well as a silver-plated version.
