This bone sewing needle is handmade after archaeological finds from the Viking era. Bone needles
have been used since the stone age and were widely used through history until the middle ages.
Even in Medieval times the bone needle was still used to sew bigger pieces of clothing and heavy,
coarse fabrics.
Because bone needles were a valuable possession, they were often stored in needlecases/boxes, so
the owner would not lose them. This needle has a length of 6 cm.
