Description
This ball-shaped button is inspired by Viking era archaeological finds from Birka. Buttons were widely used for fastening clothing throughout history, for example in long rows to close all sorts of medieval clothing in a decorative fashion.
The eyelet on the back is 2 mm and can be attached to the fabric with some hand stitches. The button is pewter cast and measures 1.2 x 0.9 cm. On request we can supply this button in bronze for a surcharge.
