This acorn-shaped button is inspired by late medieval and renaissance archeological examples, and was particularly popular in Tudor-fashion. Buttons were widely used for fastening clothing throughout history, for example in long rows to close all sorts of medieval clothing in a decorative fashion.
The eyelet on the back is 3 mm and can be attached to the fabric with some hand stitches. The button is pewter cast and has a width of 0.8 cm. On request we can supply this button in bronze for a surcharge.
