Medieval pilgrim badge vulva procession – silver plated

This silver plated medieval pilgrim badge is based on 15th century historical examples from Bruges, modern day Belgium. It has a pin on the back to attach it to your clothes, cloak or hat. 

Religious and profane were very popular in the late middle ages. Among other things, they were sold at places of pilgrimage and contemporary tourist hotspots. For example, a lot of archaeological finds of obscene brooches have been found at cities that were associated with a big prostitution sector, like Bruges. Badges like these can be worn all over your costume, but can be combined especially well with our Bycocket hats.
