This small medieval aiglet was historically used for fastening and tightening all sorts of medieval clothing and armor. These aiglets are typically found at the end of laces and cords and are attached with a small hand stitch. Aiglets were roughly in use from the 13th until the 17th century.
The dimensions of this large aiglet are 3.5 x 0.4 cm and is made from brass sheet.
