The type of bag is inspired by early medieval examples, ranging from ca. 700 to 1000 CE.
Historically, a lot of a person’s belongings were in the pouch(es) on their belt, since pockets in clothing were not common yet. Pouches and bags were available in all sorts, colours and sizes, and were also a way of showing one’s wealth.
The early medieval bag measures 20 x 15 cm without belt loops and is made of leather. It is available in black with silver coloured decorations and brown with brass coloured decorations. The belt loops on top accommodate belts up to 5 cm.
