This mushroom-shaped button is a replica of late medieval finds throughout Europe. Buttons were widely used for fastening clothing throughout history, for example in long rows to close all sorts of medieval clothing in a decorative fashion.
The eyelet on the back is 2 mm and can be attached to the fabric with some hand stitches. The button is bronze cast and measures 1.5 x 1.5 cm.
