This square pouch is inspired by historical finds from the city of Birka, Sweden, from the 9th and 10th century. It is richly decorated with metal fittings.
Historically, a lot of a person’s belongings were in the pouch(es) on their belt, since pockets in clothing were not common yet. Pouches and bags were available in all sorts, colours and sizes, and were also a way of showing one’s wealth.
The Birka bag is 18 x 23 cm and is made from leather. It is available in black (with silver-coloured fittings) and brown (with brass-coloured fittings).
