Help with my order

This means we cannot deliver it to you right away. The time for the product to come back in stock heavily depends on the question when we will resupply at our manufacturer. When a product is not in stock, an estimate of when we will restock it is given. This is usually between 2 and 3 weeks. Make sure you place a back order so it is reserved for you, because some products might sell out fast.

A lot of products are available in different colour options, but we don’t have all options in stock/on the website. Belts for example are often available in black and brown leather, the metal fittings in brass and silver colour, which means four options. If you want an option that is not in stock or not listed on our website, such as some jewelry in silver, please email to support@dutchtailorette.com or feel free to send us a message via facebook (The Dutch Tailorette) or instagram (@dutchtailorette) if that is easier for you.

You can order a sample of fabric by selecting ‘Sample’ in the drop-down menu of the fabric that you want. Samples are €0,50 each, and will be shipped for free within the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Luxembourg. For all other countries, a postage-stamp fee of €0,50 will be charged.

Events and contact

Sadly not. We do not have a physical store for customers to visit. If we need your measurements for a custom order, we may send you an invitation to visit our atelier, but this is always on a case-by-case basis. We are also able to take your measurements on events, depending on the clothing or costume you are wearing. (Due to Covid-19, our agenda for 2021 is still unsure. Therefore, taking measurements on events is currently not an option.)

Typically, you will find us at historical events, fantasy fairs, and re-enactment- and LARP-events. To see at which specific events you can find us check out the list at the markets & events page. (Due to Covid-19, our agenda is still unsure for 2021)

Of course! We bring most of our stock to events nonetheless, but if you want to be sure you can go home with a certain product you can order it through our webshop.

Make sure to contact us before you place your order and communicate this timely, because we often depart to events early to build up our stand. We will provide you with a unique code to enter during check-out, so you don’t have to pay for shipping. Once you ordered we can bring your order to the agreed-upon event.

Make sure you have your order confirmation on hand to show us which order you are coming to pickup. We will require your signature upon pickup for administrative purposes. (Due to Covid-19, our agenda for 2021 is still unsure. Therefore, picking up your order on events is currently not an option)

Payment, shipping and delivery

You can pay by either iDEAL, Bancontact,  SOFORT or bank transfer. All these options can be selected during checkout. If you choose bank transfer, make sure to specify your order number as a payment reference. For now we have decided not to offer Paypal because of their fees, but we might reconsider this in the future.

Since we are still a small company with our customers mostly in The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, we don’t offer default shipping to many countries yet. If you are from a country that is not on our list but still want to place your order, please send us an email at info@dutchtailorette.com or contact us through our social media channels.

If you went through all steps on the webshop when ordering a product but did not receive an order confirmation, make sure to look in your spam folder as well. If you have not received it, please send us an email at support@dutchtailorette.com or contact us through social media and we will resend it to you.

We aim to process and ship all orders within 3 to 5 business days. However, we cannot guarantee delivery times by postal services. If you need your order delivered before a short-term specific date, please contact us before placing your order.

Our business of operations is in Neede, Gelderland, The Netherlands. We don’t have a physical store for customers to visit, but on a case-by-case basis customers who live close by can pick up their order if this saves shipping costs. You can inquire about this option by sending an email to support@dutchtailorette.com or by contacting us via social media. (Due to Covid-19 safety measures, the option to pickup your order locally is currently unavailable.)

Warranty, returns and exceptions

According to the articles 6:230m – 6:230s of the Dutch Civil Code  customers have the right to return products within 14 days after reception, without giving a reason. To do this, the goods need to be undamaged, without visible signs of wear, and, in cases of yarn and threads, unused. When invoking this right, the shipping costs for returning the product are for account of the customer. When a product is returned in an unsellable condition we may not refund (the entire) purchase price.  In case of refund/money back, you will receive payment within 10 working days after we have received the returned products.

Please contact us on support@dutchtailorette.com before returning you order, so we can help you in the best possible way.

According to article 6:230p sub f(1) custom products are exempted from the 14-day returning right. This means you can not return products that are made after your personal wishes, which include (but are not limited to) custom clothing and costumes, but also pieces of fabric. We therefore offer you the service of sending you samples for a small fee, so that you can look and feel the fabric before buying.

If you ordered a non-custom product and it doesn’t fit, please contact us first at support@dutchtailorette.com so we can work out a satisfying solution for you.

It is our responsibility to package your order carefully and we strive to do our very best. However, if you find that goods have been damaged during shipment, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your package. You can do so by emailing support@dutchtailorette.com and referencing your invoice number (can be found on your invoice). Together, we will find a solution.

Cookies, privacy and terms & conditions

This data will be saved so you can return to our webshop and login to your account later. This will also provide you with insight to earlier purchases. There is no way we can see your password if you make an account and we will only use your address information to ship your order to you.

You can write us an email at support@dutchtailorette.com to request the removal of your data from our webshop. Please allow up to 30 days for your data to be completely removed, we will inform you when your data has been removed. Exceptions to the removal of your data are invoices of previous purchases, these will be kept only for our administrative purposes.
